Happy Mother?s Day!
To all of the moms, I hope you have a blessed Mother?s Day and feel celebrated this weekend. Thank you for everything you do, we love you!
We are entering the final week of the 2023 legislative session and things remain fluid here in St. Paul. As of this writing, we have approved budget bills related to Legacy, Housing, Veterans and Military Affairs, Agriculture, and Higher Education. Many budget areas remain unresolved, and we may be meeting tomorrow, Saturday, to debate and vote on additional bills.
The House majority has targeted next Thursday, May 18th, as the final day of session so we will see if they can get everything done in time.
Here is an update on where things stand as of 1:30 PM this afternoon, Friday, on Conference Committee negotiations:
Again, things are rapidly changing in St. Paul as agreements are reached on these budget bills. I will continue to keep you updated as things happen. Keep your eye on your email inbox for more.
