Say it with me, folks: Let doctors provide reproductive health care!

You would think it’s a no-brainer — reproductive care is health care, period.

But after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and eliminated the constitutional right to an abortion, Republican-led states have passed laws that severely restrict or outright ban access to reproductive care.

Thankfully, reproductive rights are protected in Colorado — and we have amazing health care professionals who stand ready to provide life-saving services to patients who need to travel to our state to receive care.

But in some states that have banned abortion, Republican lawmakers have introduced extreme legislation that would make it a crime to provide abortion care to a resident of that state, even in a state like Colorado, where abortion care is legal.

That’s why we joined our Democratic colleagues to introduce the Let Doctors Provide Reproductive Health Care Act , which would protect health care providers from being subject to these outrageous proposals that target them for doing their jobs.

We need to get this bill across the finish line, so I'm kindly asking: Will you add your name to our petition calling on the Senate to pass the Let Doctors Provide Reproductive Health Care Act? We need you with us, folks. [[link removed]]

We’re working every day to protect access to reproductive health care from those who seek to deny women their freedom and dignity. Thank you for standing alongside us and making your voice heard.
