In 2020, Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old emergency medical worker, was settled into bed when Louisville police officers raided her apartment, breaking through her door and fatally shooting her while she slept.

We’re sure you remember this story – and we’ll tell you why we’re bringing it back up today:

Following Breonna’s murder, the Attorney General of Kentucky, Daniel Cameron, refused to charge the police officers involved. He led what grand jurors called a “sham” investigation into charges against the officers, including limiting the scope of the investigation and, according to the Associated Press, refusing to allow homicide charges against the police.

The whole nation was horrified by Breonna Taylor’s death, and she and her family have yet to receive justice. This was yet another tragedy that signaled to police officers and citizens across the country that police are unlikely to ever be held accountable for their actions.

While this was the most high-profile case Cameron oversaw in his position as AG, it was certainly not the only cause for concern. According to Louisville Public Media, “As attorney general, Cameron has gone to court to uphold the state’s abortion bans, discouraged FedEx from tracking firearm sales, and fought against mask mandates at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.” Cameron also has a track record of undermining policies to combat climate change.

Attorneys General are supposed to deliver justice and accountability on behalf of their state – and Kentucky deserves a leader in this office. That is why we are proud to endorse one of the most phenomenal women our team has ever met to replace Daniel Cameron: Pamela Stevenson.

Unlike Cameron, Pamela knows that the AG’s job is not to play politics but to serve and defend the people of Kentucky. Please help us support her campaign by rushing $20 now →

Colonel Pam Stevenson’s resume is incredible. She served as J.A.G. attorney in the U.S. Air Force, was elected and served as a State Representative, and founded a nonprofit providing free legal service to veterans.

AG Cameron is now running for Governor of Kentucky 🙄, which means Pam will face Republican Russell Coleman in November. Coleman is a pro-life extremist who is endorsed by Kentucky’s Right to Life, former U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr (from the Trump administration), Senator Rand Paul, and many other extremist groups and people. He’s also taken thousands of dollars from opioid lobbyists.

Kentucky has never had a woman Attorney General – but the state needs female leadership now more than ever, especially as abortion is almost completely banned statewide.

Colonel Stevenson is dedicated to being the People’s Lawyer – protecting Kentucky families and their communities – and with 39 years of legal experience at the local, state, federal, and international levels, she is one of the most qualified candidates ever to seek this office. But she needs our help. Can you chip in $20 now to ensure she’s on track to defeat her extremist opponent in November?
