A message from Guido: See you at Lakenheath on 20 May! ? CND's national demonstration at Lakenheath airbase in Suffolk is just a week away. We'll be joined by hundreds of our supporters and peace activists from across Europe, including Guido van Leemput from the Netherlands. Guido is a campaigner opposed to the stationing of US nuclear bombs at Volkel Air Base and will be speaking about their opposition to the siting of the new B61-12 bomb there. Tomorrow, CND will be among those commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Nakba?- or Catastrophe - when over 750,000 Palestinians were forcibly removed from over 500 villages and cities in historic Palestine.?

CND is calling on supporters to gather in London to mark the?Nakba?and to call for an end to Israel's nuclear arsenal and human rights abuses.?

Israel continues to pose a serious danger to the wider region by being its sole nuclear weapons state. CND pays tribute to Israeli whistle-blower and former nuclear technician Mordechai Vanunu - who remains under house arrest for exposing the truth about Israel's nuclear weapons. The British government remains silent on Israel's semi-clandestine nuclear status in the same way it remains silent about Palestinian human rights.?
