John,
If your inbox is anything like mine, it’s filled with emails from politicians telling you that the sky will fall if you don’t give them money before a made-up deadline. I never want to do that to you – that’s why I’m sending you this email to explain why the next few days matter for our campaign.
As you may know, four times a year, federal campaigns are required to submit campaign finance reports to the FEC. This publicly-available fundraising report is used by allies and opponents alike to gauge the strength of a campaign.
Right now, we are halfway to our next FEC filing deadline – but unfortunately, we’re not halfway to our internal goal. I’ll explain more in a moment, but first, I have to ask if you can rush $10 or more to get us back on track.

Being halfway through the quarter is a natural opportunity for us to check in internally on our progress. And if we continue on our current trajectory, we will not reach our carefully-calculated fundraising goal.
While the sky won’t literally fall if we don’t hit our goal, we will be significantly disadvantaged in our competitiveness for 2024. (Really.) I owe it to my supporters to be real – and to do everything I can to put us in the best position to hold this seat we worked so hard to win.
Even $10 goes a long way toward getting us on the right path and building a strong movement for the road ahead. Can I count on your support today?

Endlessly grateful for your support,
Hillary
