96 Read the Polls, Jack! At a rare press conference two weeks ago,
President Biden was asked about recent polling that again showed an
overwhelming majority of Americans don't want him to run for reelection.
His response? "When the same polling data asks what kind of job I've
done, it gets overwhelmingly positive results."

The next day, Gallup
released a poll showing his approval rating at 37%, the lowest of his
presidency to date.

Talk about tough timing.

But that certainly
hasn't been the end of his polling woes. The president started off his
week with more bad news when, this past Sunday, the Washington Post
released its latest again showing his approval rating slipping to new
lows, more Americans doubting his mental acuity than not, and his
support falling against Republican challengers.

And Tuesday it got
worse when Gallup released another poll showing 48% of Americans'
confidence in the president "to do or recommend the right thing for the
economy" is "almost none."

Perhaps the president should take his own
advice and "read the polls, Jack," instead of doubling down on his
failed policies.

But the new Republican House majority is taking bold
action to reverse the damage of this presidency. That includes passing
the Limit, Save, and Grow Act to lift the debt limit, end wasteful
Washington spending, and put our country back on the right economic
path, and passing the Secure the Border Act.

Thankfully, they're just
getting started.

Enjoy this week's newsletter.

Sincerely,
Chairman Kyle Hupfer

  Rest in Peace, Bill Oesterle
It's with great sadness that we share the passing of Bill Oesterle, a
great Hoosier who dedicated his life to building a stronger Indiana and
lifting up all those around him. Bill's long career in business and
politics was full of many accomplishments, including co-founding Angie's
List, one of Indiana's largest publicly traded companies, and managing
Mitch Daniels' successful first gubernatorial campaign in 2004. His loss
will be deeply felt by many, and indeed, the state.

House Republicans pass 'Secure the Border
Act' Yesterday, U.S. House Republicans passed the strongest border
security bill the country has ever seen, with zero support from the
Democrats.

Context: In President Biden's first 100 days, he took
more than 94 executive actions on immigration that have weakened our
system and led to more than 6.3 million illegal border crossings,
including 1.3 million gotaways that have escaped past border patrol
into the country.
But he hasn't done it alone, Democrats have voted to

Secure the Border Act delivers on Republicans' Commitment to America to
end the chaos.
The bill would fix our broken asylum system, hire more
Border Patrol agents and provide them with resources they need,
reinstate policies like Remain in Mexico, and force the Biden
administration to resume building the border wall.   Fox News:

"A federal
judge on Thursday evening blocked the Biden administration from
implementing a policy that allows for the release of migrants without
court dates – just hours away from the end of the Title 42 public
health order.

"Judge T. Kent Wetherell II imposed a two-week
restraining order on the Biden administration policy, which would see
migrants released on 'parole with conditions.'

"The policy was
outlined in a Border Patrol memo this week, which says that migrants
can be allowed into the country on parole — a process typically
reserved for "urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public
benefit" — if Customs and Border Protection (CBP) faces overcrowding.
The memo calls the practice "parole with conditions" as migrants are
required to make an appointment with Immigration and Customs
Enforcement (ICE) or request a Notice to Appear by mail."

several weeks, this section will be dedicated to highlighting some of
those bills.

The bill: SEA 5 (consumer data protection), signed May
1, 2023.

The details: SEA 5 establishes consumer rights regarding
personal data and require businesses to have data protection assessment
and security checks.
This "bill of rights" for data privacy will allow
Hoosiers to monitor how their data is being used and have it deleted,
