Senate Republicans had a constitutional responsibility to hold a fair trial of the president - and they have completely and miserably failed.

Mitch McConnell blocked calls for any witnesses and rushed through the trial as quickly as possible. The trial was a complete sham - but we shouldn't be surprised.

For three long years, Mitch McConnell has continuously turned a blind eye to Trump's corruption, abuses of power and stunning incompetence - whatever it takes to appease the president. And they're getting away with it.

The only way left to hold Trump and McConnell accountable is by taking back the Senate majority for Democrats. But our path forward is narrow: Everyone from FiveThirtyEight to analysts at Roll Call is saying that Democrats cannot take back the Senate if we lose New Hampshire.

That's why I'm coming to you now. We have to raise $25,000 by midnight if we're going to push the GOP out of power, but we're falling short with time running out.

My potential opponent has dumped nearly $1.5 million from his personal fortune into this race, and President Trump and Vice President Pence are coming back to New Hampshire on Monday to campaign. The GOP knows that flipping New Hampshire would essentially guarantee they remain in the majority, and they'll do whatever it takes to beat us.

We can't let the GOP get away with making a complete mockery of our democracy. The president solicited foreign interference to help his reelection campaign in 2020 and obstructed the investigations into his wrongdoing. But the Senate GOP refuses to hold him accountable for his illegal actions - so we must vote them out of office.
