Thanks to IRA, we’re getting more EVs on the road AND leaving behind fewer carbon emissions.

John, in just two years following its passage in Congress, President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act has already drastically improved the trajectory of our global carbon emissions.

In their latest Global EV Outlook report, the International Energy Agency (IEA) estimates that by 2030 electric vehicles will make up nearly 35 percent of car sales globally.

To put that into perspective, last year the agency forecasted that number to be less than 25 percent — and they credit this seismic leap in large part to the tens of billions of dollars in electric vehicle purchases and production President Biden and our SEEC Members delivered through IRA.

This is why it’s critical we elect pro-climate leaders, John: When we take aggressive action to defend our climate and promote clean energy solutions in the U.S., we get our entire planet closer to achieving a greener, more sustainable future.

Our Members aren’t letting up on our huge climate gains, John. While the transportation sector is one of the leading sources of worldwide carbon emissions, we still have a ton of heavy lifting to do in the transition to clean energy — and SEEC is ready to keep the pedal to the metal.

But with Republican opposition to everything from power grid reforms to public land protections, we need to know our grassroots team has our back in the fight to achieve our ambitious climate goals.

Will you make sure our Members can keep running full speed ahead to reduce our carbon footprint by chipping in $8, or whatever you can, to support their work and elect a green majority in 2024?

This latest report only scratches the surface on the progress we’ve been able to make since we passed the Inflation Reduction Act back in 2021. That’s why we’re more determined than ever to ensure we continue electing candidates who are ready to lead with climate-first solutions and deliver on President Biden’s clean energy future.

Thanks for standing with us in this fight, John.
