John, I’m sickened this day has come.

The GOP Supermajority in the legislature means that not even Democrat Gov. Roy Cooper can stop this unconscionable attack on our right to choose.

But all hope is not lost: we can still elect progressive pro-choice candidates up and down the ballot to fight back through every means available at the local level.

As county commissioner, my number one priority is being a representative for all Durhamites. Candidates like me are fighting tooth and nail to protect the right to choose because I am not exaggerating when I say people will die as a result of this extremist ban.
