The Texas State Gallery had to be cleared following disruptions by protestors at the Capitol during last attempt to pass SB14! |
Texas Values President Jonathan Saenz held up signs in favor of #SB14 and simply tried to walk to the Texas House Gallery with our message. While the other side was chanting "No place for hate!" our team ironically, was met with hate, aggression, foul language and threats! Thank you Senator Donna Campbell & Representative Tom Oliverson for authoring this bill to protect children from undergoing dangerous, expensive, and irreversible surgeries.
"We Will Not Be Intimidated!" Pray that #SB14 Pass as it Heads Back to the House Floor Today! |

Pastors Spotted at the Capitol! |
On Tuesday of last week, as the Texas House considered SB 14, a bill to protect kids from harmful and dangerous gender mutilation and modification operations, drugs and procedures, a large group of protestors gathered in the Capitol to oppose passage of the bill.
As has been the case in state capitols across the country, the protestors became unruly as the legislators considered the bill. The crowd was so aggressive that the Speaker of the House eventually called for the gallery to be cleared. The situation then degraded to the point that DPS officers had to forcibly remove, and even arrest, some of the protestors.
Even as protestors sought to spread chaos, pastors affiliated with the Church Ambassador Network were meeting with and ministering to Members. With less than a month remaining in the legislative session, the Church Ambassador Network will continue to bring calm in the chaos as we share Christ in the Capitol.
Find out how you can get involved with the Church Ambassador Network.
Pastors in the picture: TXCAN Regional Director Pastor Luis “Nino” Gonzalez, Pastor Joshua Fuentes of Crestview Baptist Church in Windcrest, Pastor Javier Barrientos of Place of Grace Fellowship in San Antonio, and Pastor Nick Nieto from Zion Church in San Antonio. |
