We’re fighting for Kaison’s family, including Patricia in Harrisburg who shared with us this story of her great grandson. On December 26, 2021, Kaison and his dad were on the floor playing with his new Christmas gifts and laughing with each other, not knowing that this would be the last moment spent together. Just a few hours later, Kaison’s dad was gunned down on Emerald Street in Harrisburg. Kaison was just a baby – only one year old. Kaison’s mom did not even know she was expecting another child at the time. Another boy, named Sevyn, was born months after his father was shot and killed. Kaison and his baby brother experienced a loss that will alter their entire lives.
If the Common Agenda to End Gun Violence were law in PA, there’s a chance Kaison and Sevyn’s father would still be alive today.
Even if you've already called, call your Rep again NOW to prevent further devastation to Pennsylvania families.
The PA House took a historic step by advancing The Common Agenda legislation last week2, but we need to keep it moving forward. Gun lobby extremists are actively targeting Representatives to stop this progress. It’s crucial we make our voices heard between now and late May when we expect there will be a Final Passage vote in the House.
Can we count on you to stand up for Kaison and Sevyn and for every Pennsylvania child who has lost a parent to gun violence? Call your Rep. now.
Sincerely,
Adam Garber
