The People’s Action Party (PAP) kicked off its commemoration of the birth centenary of its founding Secretary-General and former Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew (LKY100) with a tree-planting initiative, inviting Singaporeans to plant 10,000 trees island wide by the end of the year.

Mr Lee started the first tree planting campaign in 1963 and wanted to transform Singapore into a Garden City in 1967. Today, our tree-planting effort reaffirms the Party's commitment to a greener future. 

Let us stand united in creating a sustainable Singapore for our children and their children after them, just like what Mr Lee had envisioned. Watch more.
 

In Parliament this week, our PAP Members of Parliament raised Singaporeans' concerns on the soaring Certificate of Entitlement (COE) prices. They asked if there are measures to rein in the costs, and if the system can be improved. 
Transport Minister S Iswaran said that the Government will make a one-time adjustment to reduce the supply volatility of cars. He emphasised that the Government will continue to build a transport system which is car-lite, accessible, inclusive and sustainable. Read more
