Medical debt should not exist in our country.

The United States is the wealthiest country in the world, yet every day
Americans struggle with the burden of medical debt because of the
predatory practices of our healthcare system. As the industry rakes in
record-breaking profits year after year, families have to choose between
making collection payments and putting food on the table.

Healthcare is a basic human right.

It is un-American to continue allowing people to face such extreme
consequences for getting sick at no fault of their own.
