Friend,

Immigration and border control aren’t just political issues: they are economic, national security, and public health issues.

Today, Title 42, a Trump-era policy put in place to prevent migrants from entering the US and further spreading COVID-19, has reached its expiration date. Unfortunately, this comes at a high cost to the United States.
Since its instatement, more than 2.8 million migrants entering our borders illegally have been expelled to Mexico and the number of those coming into the U.S. illegally has grown exponentially and will continue to expand at the prospect of the policy expiring. Earlier this week, the U.S. Border Patrol reported 26,382 migrant apprehensions in just 72 hours — a staggering average of 8,794 per day.

While the feds have neglected to respond to the border crisis, Texas is stepping in and deploying 10,000 National Guard members and issuing states of emergency for border cities like El Paso.
BIDEN ADMINISTRATION, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER
Unfortunately, the Biden administration has made clear that they have no interest in discouraging illegal immigration and are only interested in the impact illegal immigration has on American communities, if those communities are in wealthy areas or dysfunctional cities in blue states.

Biden has failed to develop policies to effectively usher the U.S. out of Title 42. Now, border towns and states will continue to unfairly shoulder much of the immediate and catastrophic fallout.
SAY YES TO SAFE BORDERS
Furthermore, insecure borders have led to increased instances of sex trafficking and fentanyl flooding into the U.S. — now the deadliest drug in America. As the situation continues to spiral, we need your voice to help communicate the severity of the border crisis.
ACT NOW: SIGN THE PETITION
Sincerely,
