Hey, it's Chaney.
I’ve had the opportunity to work with Nikki Haley over the last 10 years. It’s been incredible witnessing her leadership during her time as governor, UN ambassador, and now as a presidential candidate.
I have so many stories I could share with you, but today I want to highlight a life changing day during Nikki’s time as UN ambassador.
I was lucky enough to experience that day with her…

That hot August day, we crossed the Simon Bolivar bridge between Venezuela and Colombia. We were among thousands of Venezuelans who had walked for hours in the hot sun, carrying their children, to get the one meal they might eat that day. They were coming from a country where people were killing zoo animals for food.
These families had very few possessions. For some, it was a stuffed animal. For others, it was a plastic bag with a couple pieces of clothing inside.
They were fleeing socialism in search of freedom.
When Nikki left the bridge, we went to a nearby shelter run by the Catholic Church, where the Venezuelans were gathering. Nikki hugged them and heard their stories. With each minute that passed, more and more families started to gather around.

They didn’t care “who” Nikki was. They cared “where” she was from.
In Nikki, they saw America, and in America, they saw freedom.
After that day, Nikki has always emphasized NEVER taking the American Dream for granted.
“We live in the land of the brave and the free, and we must never let that slip away.”

NOW, with the Democrats in power, the freedom we have always treasured as Americans is slowly slipping away.
From Joe Biden on down, the Democrats are growing government and have our country slowly slipping toward socialism.
I’m proud to say, Nikki Haley is running for president to stop them!
