All ages of Liberal supporters came out in droves to Lib2023 – participating in campaign trainings, listening to keynote speeches from Justin Trudeau, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Rt. Hon. Jean Chrétien, electing our new Party President, Sachit Mehra, and voting on
a new set of policy priorities. The energy for the entire convention was amazing – and it was all thanks to Liberals like you!
Lib2023 was one for the books – with amazing speakers like our Leader, Justin Trudeau who spoke about how we can keep moving forward for Canadians, and Suzanne Cowan who reflected on her time as Party President.
On day two, the Rt. Hon. Jean Chrétien reflected on his time in politics and sat down with another MP from Shawinigan, François-Philippe Champagne, to talk about the work left to do to build a stronger Canada for everyone.
Finally, we welcomed Hillary Rodham Clinton and our very own Chrystia Freeland for an exciting discussion that ranged from the importance of delivering programs like $10-a-day child care, strengthening democracy globally, and navigating being a woman in politics. You could feel the excitement when they entered the room!
