Now that Republicans control the House majority, we’ve seen their priorities in action. They aren’t focused on everyday Americans. They’re more focused on shoring up their own political power.
From threatening to let our country default on its debt and jeopardize people’s healthcare and savings to introducing extreme, divisive, and anti-choice legislation, Republicans have proven their priorities aren’t aligned with what people in our country want.
This isn’t how Congress is supposed to work. We were elected to get things done -- to address the real problems facing people across the country, like lowering the cost of healthcare and childcare and addressing gun violence in our communities.
Instead, Republicans are putting their political agenda before what’s best for our country.
