The Connecticut House passed an amendment to the state constitution to allow no-excuse mail-in voting. If passed by the Democratic-controlled Senate, the amendment will go before voters in 2024. Currently, the Connecticut Constitution only permits voters to vote by mail if they qualify with a few specific excuses, including sickness, physical disability or absence from the town on Election Day.
