McConnell is not confident — “we could screw this up” — but the fact of the matter is that Republicans have three key pickup opportunities in states Trump won in both 2016 and 2020.

And McConnell just needs two to flip the Senate.

McConnell’s Super PAC is already planning to pour millions of dollars into Ohio, Montana, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. In fact, GOP attack ads against Democrats have already started.

He also said Republicans “don’t have an ideological litmus test,” and that they will be spending heavily “in every general election where we have a legitimate shot of winning — regardless of the philosophy of the nominee.”

McConnell is so power hungry that he vowed, “What I care about in November is winning and having an ‘R’ by your name.”
