Dear Member,
Working people deserve and value what they've fought for: higher pay, better working conditions, more vacation and sick leave, affordable health care, a voice on the job and countless other advantages.
Education is now one of the most valuable benefits a member can receive, which is why AFSCME is excited to offer an online, low-cost bachelor’s degree completion program for you and your family. It will cost just a fraction of what you’d pay without your union membership and will work with your busy schedule.
AFSCME is partnering with Ohio’s Central State University, a regionally accredited, public land-grant university established in 1887. Members, retirees and their eligible family members can complete an online bachelor’s degree at a huge discount. Rates will vary depending on the level of federal or employer grants a student qualifies for and may even be completely free, but they won’t be more than $190 per credit hour, which is only a third of the national average.*
Visit bachelorsdegree.afscme.org to get more information on eligibility, how to apply for aid and more.
Classes begin March 9, so apply now and take advantage of the union difference.
In solidarity,
Genevieve Marcus
*The student's final out of pocket cost is based on CSU’s current tuition and fee schedule. In the event of a future tuition and/or fee rate change, advance notice will be provided.
