George Santos was arrested on federal criminal charges this week — and he's still running for re-election, fundraising off of his indictment.

Friend: I could spend the next hour of your time listing all the reasons why George Santos is entirely unqualified to hold public office. I won’t because you know them as well as I do.

But the fact of the matter remains: Over 700,000 New Yorkers live in NY-03, and they deserve a serious representative who isn’t cozying up to Holocaust deniers or wining and dining nazi-sympathizers. As a New Yorker, it makes me sick. We deserve a lot better.

So we must defeat Santos. Here’s how:
→ Make certain voters in NY-03 are aware of George’s disgusting trail of lies and the company he keeps.
→ Secure resources to help Santos’ eventual Democratic opponent.
→ Hold him to account every chance we get.
→ Restore leadership in New York.

And look, partisan politics is the least of my concerns — being a far-right zealot hell-bent on controlling women’s bodies makes Santos another Washington Republican extremist, and that too is disgusting. But there’s more to it. George Santos is a dangerous, pathological liar, and nationwide embarrassment. He’s everything that is wrong with Washington and everything I’ve spent my life fighting against.

The bottom line: Kevin McCarthy, Elise Stefanik, and GOP leadership knew who Santos was, and they funded his campaign despite it. I have no reason to believe they won’t do the same this time around.

So, please, stand with me, and pitch in to help take back New York.
