The latest MAGA agenda is not only bringing us closer to a first-in-history federal default, the Default on America Act is also cutting crucial programs for Americans across the country.

Hiding behind the veil of "cutting federal spending," what the GOP is really going after is slashing programs that support veterans, seniors, food assistance, and education – while also cutting 780,000 jobs.

Republicans are playing games with the lives of our children, working families and seniors, and there will be very real consequences for our home here in Washington state, including:

- 4,800 preschool and childcare slots eliminated
- 187,000 Washingtonians losing food assistance
- 89,000 students facing higher college costs
- 17,000 WA families with increased housing costs
- 164,500 veterans losing medical care
- 371,000 Washingtonians losing Medicaid coverage
- 1.5 million seniors facing additional delays for Social Security and Medicare assistance

Washingtonians can't afford the Default on America Act. Americans can't afford the Default on America Act.
