John,
We’re now at the halfway mark of Q2 and we wanted to take a moment to ensure that our movement’s vision remains aligned with yours.
Pramila is dedicated and determined to continue showing up for her constituents, and communities like hers. And as we continue to grow as a progressive movement, we want to ensure that we’re still fighting for the issues you’re most passionate about. That’s why we’re reaching out:
Can you take our easy, 1-click survey and share what you think our top priority should be? To share your answer, all you have to do is click on the button that corresponds with your top priority.
Pramila is dedicated to overhauling our broken for-profit health care system to ensure that everyone has access to universal health care — everybody in, nobody out. The Medicare for All Act would improve and expand the Medicare program by removing profit motives, resolving inefficiencies, and guaranteeing comprehensive quality health care.
Pramila has been fighting for racial justice her whole life. As a woman of color and an immigrant, she knows what it means to have the deck stacked against you. Through working to reform the policing system in Seattle, championing the fight to restore voting rights, and fighting to raise the federal minimum wage — Pramila is combatting the pillars of injustice that have disproportionately discriminated against Black and brown folks for far too long.
Pramila knows that despite recent triumphs, 31 states still lack clear non-discrimination protections for LGBTQ people. And with recent attacks from the far-right on our LGBTQ communities, Pramila is ready to use the full force of her membership on the Congressional Equality Caucus to fight for the Equality Act and the Every Child Deserves a Family Act.
As the first immigrant to hold the position of Ranking Member on the House Immigration Subcommittee, Pramila is determined to build immigration policies that reflect our values of family, human dignity, and work. By working to pass just and human immigration reform that provides a path to citizenship for immigrants, she knows how important it is to fully embrace the contributions that immigrants make to our societies.
Energy and the EnvironmentPramila is not afraid to stand up to polluters and climate change deniers, and grow our movement to combat climate change. As a proud co-sponsor of the Green New Deal and the “100 by ‘50” Act, as well as a champion of the clean energy economy, Pramila knows that this work will only come to fruition through unwavering commitment and dedicated advocacy for our climate.
We need to ensure that our Congress keeps these issues, and many more, at the forefront of our priorities, John. And your voice is exactly the push we need to ensure that we can stay on the right track.
Thank you for your continued faith and support in this movement.
