Subject: ACTION ALERT: Tell Biden to protect student athletes
John,
Right-wing extremist groups have taken aim at trans, nonbinary, and intersex children—vilifying and bullying young students to advance their political agenda. It’s sickening. Their focus has been on excluding students from sports simply because of their gender identity.
Now, the Biden administration is asking YOU, the public, for your opinion on enacting a strong federal rule protecting the rights of trans, nonbinary, and intersex students to play school sports.

If you’re a parent, teacher, or even if you have ever been a kid in school, you know how much of an impact extracurricular activities like sports can have. Kids learn important life lessons in sports: leadership, confidence, self-respect, and what it means to be part of a team. Transgender kids deserve opportunities to play sports for the same reason all kids do: to be a part of a team where they feel like they belong.
The anti-trans politicians attacking LGBTQI+ students are only moving us backward, away from safe, equitable educational spaces for ALL students.
Help get a strong Department of Education rule passed by using this comment period as a chance to show our leaders why we want federal protections set in stone for students. [[link removed]]
