At the recommendation of our Policy and Political Affairs Committee, the Executive Board recently voted to tentatively endorse the following piece of legislation and sign onto the following petition using the expedited process outlined in our bylaws that allows the board to do so "provided said position is consistent with this organization’s platform."
California State Senate Bill 423 (Wiener et al. including Wicks)
- "This bill removes the sunset of Senate Bill 35 (Wiener, 2017) and makes the law permanent, thus providing
streamlined, ministerial approval of projects in cities
that have not met their Regional Housing Needs
Assessment (RHNA) goals or adopted a compliant
housing element."

Survive and Thrive Petition to Save California Transit
