Yesterday, we checked on our average individual contribution and found that right now our grassroots donors give an average of $35 [[link removed]] . We have such broad support from over 1,500 individual donors because Kathy is an authentic leader who simply wants to serve her community, and because we are building an innovative field outreach program to bring voters of all races, backgrounds, and income and education levels into a coalition to vote for change.

You couldn’t ask for a starker contrast in how we are running this campaign and how our opponent, Jason Smith, runs his: the average individual contribution to Rep. Smith’s campaign is a very relatable $782, from only around 215 individual donors.

This is what happens when a “representative” takes well over $600,000 from PACs, lobbyists, and interest groups—constituting the bulk of his campaign finance to date. Just as farmland in Missouri, and specifically in my District, has become increasingly concentrated in the hands of massive foreign-owned companies, Jason Smith has made big agribusiness one of his top contributors.

Coincidence? More like malpractice.
