Trump is liable for sexual assault and defamation in E. Jean Carroll case.

On Tuesday, former President Donald Trump was found liable for sexually abusing and defaming E. Jean Carroll and must pay $5 million in damages. Carroll, a writer and former columnist for Elle magazine, accused Trump of raping her in a Manhattan department store in the mid-1990s.

A Missouri school district's decision to bring back corporal punishment gained international attention recently. Missouri is now one of 19 states where corporal punishment remains legal in schools.

Rep. George Santos pleaded not guilty to all of the charges laid before him at a Wednesday afternoon court hearing. His attorney and federal prosecutors agreed upon a $500,000 bond while legal processings continue.
