Yesterday, the majority of the U.S. Senate voted to acquit President Donald Trump, but many, including Senator Doug Jones from Alabama, had the courage to stand up for what they believed was right.

Despite representing what some consider to be a “red” state here in the South, Doug upheld his oath and defended the Constitution by listening to the facts, doing impartial justice, and defending our Constitution. That takes courage.

But because Doug is up for re-election this November, he’s already being relentlessly attacked by the GOP machine for standing on the right side of history. Far-right groups have already spent at least half a million dollars attacking him on impeachment -- and that was before his vote!
