Welcome to Thursday, February 6th, convicts and acquits...

PIC-I

As you may have heard, the U.S. Senate voted to acquit President Donald Trump on both impeachment charges.

Only one Senator crossed party lines: Republican Mitt Romney of Utah. In voting to convict Trump of abuse of power, Romney became the first senator in U.S. history to vote to convict a president from the same party in an impeachment trial.

“The president is guilty of an appalling abuse of public trust," Romney said before his vote. "A president can indeed commit acts against the public trust that are so egregious that while they are not statutory crimes they would demand removal from office."

Trump announced on Twitter that he would make a statement Thursday at noon "to discuss our Country’s VICTORY on the Impeachment Hoax!”

Do you support the acquittal?

Censuring Pelosi for Tearing Up Trump’s Speech

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway called House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) "an incorrigible child" and suggested she be “censured” for tearing up a copy of Trump's State of the Union Address.

“I think that she should either be censured or I believe the same woman who led a resolution in the House to denounce a tweet last summer — there ought to be a Senate resolution denouncing her behavior last night,” Conway told Fox News on Wednesday.

"America saw an incorrigible child, ripping up a presidential State of the Union that is meant for the people."

Should Pelosi be censured for tearing up Trump's SOTU speech?
