Help Animals Like Rosie! ([link removed])

Friend,

On Rosie’s first birthday, her family threw her a party, complete with a dog-bone shaped cake. But life wasn’t always so sweet for this girl. When Rosie was a puppy, she was rescued from a New York pet store by the Humane Society of the United States. Their undercover investigation revealed that sick puppies were left to suffer and even die in the store, which purchased puppies from puppy mills.

Rosie was lucky to be rescued. Countless dogs are suffering the cruelty of puppy mills right now. We can change that with strong laws and policies to protect these innocent animals.

We’ve set a goal of raising $35,000 by May 31 so we can fight for suffering animals like Rosie. Make your $20 gift today to support urgently needed policy reforms that will help end puppy mills and fight for all animals in need. ([link removed])

As a family of organizations, HSLF and HSUS are fighting at the local, state and federal level to end the suffering in puppy mills, including advocating for the Puppy Protection Act, which would end some of the worst abuses in USDA-licensed puppy mills and protect dogs like Rosie.

Before Rosie was adopted, she had to be treated for giardia and kennel cough. And when she turned eight months old, she started limping in pain. She was diagnosed with a degenerative hip disorder. Rosie, who had already suffered so much, now needed surgery to remove part of her leg bone. Thankfully, Rosie’s adopter got her the best care, and she is on the road to recovery.

But there are so many others like Rosie who need you now. Stop puppy mills and end animal suffering by donating before time runs out to meet our $35,000 goal. ([link removed])

You’ll help dogs like Rosie still languishing in puppy mills by helping us secure legislation to improve their care, and you’ll fight to improve the lives of all animals.

Thank you,
