Rumors are swirling

Fellow Conservative:

Mitch McConnell has been the Senate Republican “Leader” since George W. Bush
was president. His 16-year tenure has been marked by corporate bailouts, lost
wars, Obamacare, the Covid lockdowns, two impeachments of a Republican
president, and an unending war against Senate conservatives.

Rumors are swirling that the 81-year-old Swamp boss may finally be nearing
retirement. And several Republican Senators are reportedly angling to run to
replace him.

We aren't endorsing any candidate for the job now, but we absolutely endorse
new leadership, particularly a new generation of conservative leadership for
Senate Republicans.

During his entire career, Mitch McConnell has represented the Swamp and its
priorities. His idea of leadership is earmarks, budget-busting spending,
ducking policy fights, and producing Republican votes for Democrat bills.

McConnell has won plaudits for years for privately and publicly attacking
conservatives: Jim DeMint, Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and others. He constantly
complains about conservative Senate candidates, but the candidates McConnell
supports — like Arlen Specter and Charlie Crist — have a curious habit of
losing … and becoming Democrats!

The next Republican Leader must understand that the party is not the one
McConnell imagines: socially liberal, country club millionaires. Like the new
GOP, the new conservative movement is a working-class party looking out for
young families instead of big businesses.

The new generation of Republicans wants to fight the Left and win the Culture
War. The issues that Republicans actually care about are the issues McConnell
has always shied away from – immigration, abortion, woke indoctrination of our
kids, and the corruption of the Deep State. McConnell likes Washington more
than he likes actual Republican voters, and that fact will hold back the party
and the country as long as he remains in power.

Republican Senators have grumbled for years about McConnell. The difference
now is that they're showing signs that they're ready to do something about it.

In the 2024 elections, Republicans have a chance for a sweep — to win control
of the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the White House. But to truly
win, we need more than a change of parties. We need a change of leaders.

Senate Conservatives Fund
<[link removed]> will
continue doing our part: supporting conservatives in Senate races, including
against McConnell’s hand-picked lapdogs. We will continue to hold current
leaders accountable, including in the looming fight over the federal debt
ceiling. And finally, we will hold McConnell accountable and keep you updated
about the leadership race heating up inside the Senate.

If McConnell is on his way out, conservatives could finally be on their way
in. With your help, we will work to give America that opportunity.

Sincerely,

Matt Hoskins
