This year marks the 90th anniversary of the New Deal. Between 1933 and 1942 the New Dealers transformed America, creating jobs and giving hope to millions during the Great Depression. Our mothers, grandmothers and great-grandmothers knew the hardships of the Depression first hand. They scrimped, mended and nurtured through the hardest of times. This Mother’s Day, please consider honoring the women in your life with a gift to the Living New Deal. We’re documenting—and celebrating— what the New Deal left to America by passing on the spirit of possibility and resilience the New Deal fostered. We are grateful for your support.
