Ohio Republican politicians just passed their self-serving measure through the House that will effectively END citizen-led ballot initiatives in Ohio. Now, they're forcing Ohio taxpayers to foot the bill for a $20 million special election in August to vote on their shameless proposal.
This attack on voters is the GOP's latest attempt to further their own extremist agendas. And they're blatantly using the legislature to sabotage the reproductive rights amendment Democrats are working to introduce this fall.
Attacking citizen-led ballot initiatives is bad for voters. It's bad for taxpayers. It's bad for our democracy. And it's bad for Ohio.
