Working Families Party

Did you see the news, John?

Serial fraudster Rep. George Santos was arrested this morning and indicted on thirteen federal counts, including wire fraud, money laundering, theft of public funds, and lying to the House of Representatives.1

These indictments are no surprise — this is a man who also stole money he promised to a disabled veteran’s dying dog and lied about his own mother being killed on 9/11.2 But still, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy refuses to call on him to resign.3 And we know why.

McCarthy needed Santos’s vote to win the Speakership on the 15th ballot in January, and Republicans need his vote to pass their extremist MAGA agenda in the House, including proposed cuts to Medicaid, SNAP, and veterans’ benefits. Our job is to make sure they can’t — and to hold them all accountable at the polls.

Will you pitch in to help us defeat George Santos and other extremist MAGA frauds like him next year? Click here to make a grassroots contribution and help WFP recruit, support, and elect the candidates who will take back Congress from McCarthy and Santos in 2024.
