In a moment, I'm going to ask you to split a donation of $5, or whatever you can, between my campaign and Representative Marilyn Strickland's. But first, I want to tell you a bit about why having Marilyn's voice in Congress is so crucial:

This month is an opportunity to celebrate America's diversity while recognizing – and working to overcome – our nation's history of anti-AAPI legislation and anti-AAPI discrimination. In 2020, Marilyn made history as the FIRST Korean American woman and first African American to represent Washington in Congress. And already, she has been a powerful voice for our region.

Last Congress, I was honored to join Marilyn in introducing the PUGET SOS Act to enhance the federal government’s investment in the Sound's protection and restoration. And last December, I was proud to see President Biden sign our bill into law!

Together, Marilyn and I have worked to champion environmental justice, support tribal communities, diversify and improve our economy, and support our veterans. But we're not done fighting for our region yet. We both need your help.
