Hi John
"Just it let go already!" That's a phrase folks love to throw around, right? Sometimes that's easier said than done. How exactly do you let "something" go?
It's Mental Health Awareness Month and imi has some tips [[link removed]] to help you take action and feel your emotions when you're going through something hard.
What's imi? [[link removed]] It's the digital mental health resource for LGBTQ+ youth, by LGBTQ+ youth that we developed with our friends at HopeLab and Center Link. And it's a pretty valuable resource for parents, educators and allies too [[link removed]].
- Reflect: Reflect on what you feel, and where those feelings are coming from, by journaling, walking, or listening to music.
- Accept: Accept how you feel and allow yourself to move through the emotions. Dance, cry, scream, whatever you need in that moment!
- Act: Start to move on and cope with your emotions by doing an activity, talking with your support circle, or reaching out for support.
Check out imi.guide [[link removed]] for more tips and resources. And join us May 18 for Mental Health Action Day. We're asking folks to send an hour on imi and prioritize their mental health. You can learn more here!
