John,
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. A majority of Americans will face mental health challenges at some point in their life, and Americans from all walks of life face these struggles.
It’s critical that we take steps to address the mental health challenges we have in our country, reduce the stigma, and increase accessibility to mental health care. In Congress, I’ve supported legislation that expands access to mental health resources, invests in mental health care providers, and supports the millions of Americans who are struggling.
If you or a loved one are struggling, you can reach the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by dialing or texting 988.
Thank you,
Congressman Sanford Bishop
