Explore the Root Causes of Homelessness
|
What causes homelessness? Is it mental health issues, poverty, drugs? Gregg Colburn and Clayton Page Aldern present their researc and findings in their book, Homelessness is a Housing Problem. It's available at most places books are sold, and on downloadable audiobook via SFPL. We are eager to hear your thoughts at this book club meeting. Afterward, we'll head to a bar or restaurant on Union St. to converse and connect more informally.
Not a reader, but want to know about what's in this book? Alternative resources live here.
Please join us for the meeting even if you haven't read or finished the book! We can help you learn about it!

Thank you for speaking up for housing!
|
YIMBYs turned out to the Planning Commission last month on behalf of three housing projects. We are happy to report that all three projects were approved by the Planning Commission, though not without some consternation.
Some of these projects may go to another hearing, and we will keep you informed of future mobilization opportunities.
