Disaster Response Offering
Annual Conference is fast approaching, and we want to give you and your local church ample time to respond generously to our 2023 Annual Conference offerings. We’ll be taking an offering for Missouri Conference Disaster Response during the Opening Worship service. Disaster Response is a vital ministry where we serve people in their most vulnerable times. The Conference continues to expand our capacity to respond to disasters in Missouri, our region and across the United States. Your donation will help purchase additional supplies for relief kits deployed in disaster. This will help us not only meet needs in Missouri but to areas beyond when disaster hits. Mozambique Offering
Annual Conference is fast approaching, and we want to give you and your local church ample time to respond generously to our 2023 Annual Conference offerings. We’ll be taking an offering for the Mozambique Initiative’s solar panel parsonage project during the Celebration of Ministry worship service. Sixty-five percent of United Methodist pastors in Mozambique do not have electricity in their home. Poor or no access to power makes many daily tasks much more difficult. Our partners in Mozambique have set an ambitious goal of fitting 50 parsonages across the country with solar panels. As Missouri Conference NextGen Ministries continues to dream on how best to support you and your local church, we’d love to hear from you. Join us at an upcoming NextGen Listening Session to share your ideas and vision for NextGen Ministries directly with Conference staff members and to help us understand how we can best support you in the future. Any pastor, staff (paid or unpaid), leader and volunteer who works with kids, youth and college-aged ministry is invited to come.

Spring Lay Education Course Dates
Lay education courses offer opportunities for laity who desire to use their witness, leadership and service to inspire others to a deeper commitment to Christ and more effective discipleship. Registration is open for several classes - both online and in-person, basic and advanced.

Southeast District In Person courses will be offered Saturday, September 30 at First UMC (Sikeston). The courses will include Preaching, Biblical Interpretation, and Prayer. Mark your calendars!! Registration will be open in August.

Colorado Soul Connections Retreat
