May is Mental Health Awareness Month, so we wanted to take a moment to highlight Mad’s work in Congress on both mental health and substance use disorder.

Madeleine knows substance use disorder and mental health issues have touched nearly every American household – including her own. For her, it’s personal, and that’s why as a member of the Bipartisan Addiction and Mental Health Task Force, Mad is a forceful advocate for both comprehensive, accessible mental health care and expanded treatment options.

Mad is doing the work in Congress, but she needs to show that the people are with her on these critical issues. Act now and instantly add your name to support action on mental health and substance use disorder.

By leading with compassion, Mad is prioritizing finding new solutions to these most important issues – take a look:

➕ Introduced the Maximizing Opioid Recovery Emergency (MORE) Savings Act with Senator Bob Casey to lower the cost burden for treatment options for Americans facing substance use disorder

➕ Mad’s first bill that was signed into law – the STOIC Act – increased funding and access to suicide prevention care for law enforcement officers

➕ Introduced the Homelessness and Behavioral Health Care Coordination Act to provide more streamlined support for people experiencing the interconnected challenges of homelessness and behavioral health issues

➕ Introduced the Breakthrough Therapies Act, bipartisan legislation to lower barriers to research the use of two innovative and potentially lifesaving psychedelic treatments — including MDMA and psilocybin to treat PTSD.

Let Mad know you’re with her and instantly add your name to support forward-thinking action on mental health and substance use disorder.

Compassionate solutions that end the stigma around mental health challenges and substance use are critical for our nation’s wellness. Mad is dedicated to making effective treatment options accessible to all — we hope you’ll stand with her in this most important work.

With thanks,

Team Dean
