Enjoy a Saturday of fishing without the need for a permit on May 20, Free Fishing and Park Entry Day. During this annual event, you also don't need a park entry permit to visit Nebraska state parks. Learn to fish at Community Fishing Events
Want to learn how to fish, or get a refresher after years away from the sport? Come to a Community Fishing Event. These events will be held statewide this spring and summer and include free loaner equipment and instruction.

Additional rainbow trout stocked
Additional rainbow trout have been produced this spring by Nebraska fish hatcheries and will be stocked at select water bodies. Locations include Halleck Park Pond in Papillion, Bowling Lake south pond in Lincoln, Louisville State Recreation Area No. 1A, and several others.
