There's a new face in the training department: Meet Jake Levison

Jake joined our team of all-star training staff in July. Jake’s areas of expertise include planning and implementing youth prevention education; school-based communication campaigns; coordinating community coalitions; engaging stakeholders in community assessment and data analysis; and grants management. He is passionate about building provider capacity to implement strategies. Jake earned his B.A. from the University of Illinois at Chicago in Education. Jake says working for Prevention First has always been a kind of dream job. We're very fortunate to have him on board.

Illinois Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) will be hosting our tenth “Dome Shift” Conference in Springfield, Illinois. Dome Shift 2019 is an opportunity for our Illinois youth to participate in substance abuse prevention and traffic safety advocacy.  

DomeShift is a positive substance abuse prevention and teen traffic safety event for students. During the conference, students listen to educational speakers, network with other teens, and obtain resources to take back to their communities. DomeShift is an opportunity to reinforce the important role youth play as change agents. Students will go back ready to advocate for safe driving and substance abuse prevention at the local level.

DomeShift will be held in Springfield, IL at the President Abraham Lincoln DoubleTree Hotel. On September 23, 2019, registration opens at 5:00 p.m. and DomeShift will officially start at 7:00 p.m.
