Dear Friend,
For our maternal health workers in places not usually in the spotlight — like the Dominican Republic, Sierra Leone and Indonesia — Mother’s Day may be just another day. These dedicated doctors, nurses and other medical professionals often work double shifts, doing their best to provide care without vital equipment like incubators and ventilators.
Still, they do everything in their power to ensure that healthy moms go home with healthy babies cradled in their arms. They deserve our thanks and appreciation for Mother’s Day!
