In Syria and Türkiye, childbirth can quickly become a death sentence, Friend.

After earthquakes devastated the region and decimated health care systems earlier this year, 260,000 pregnant women in Syria and Türkiye are at grave risk.

But your 2x-matched gift today could open emergency clinics, deploy midwives, and deliver lifesaving care to mothers and pregnant women.

Before Mother’s Day, make a gift that will truly count: a gift to help make motherhood safe for all:
Three months after a 7.7 magnitude earthquake ravaged the region, Syria and Türkiye remain two of the most dangerous places in the world to be a mother.

Even though the world moved on, UNFPA is still on the ground delivering lifesaving care and resources to women and girls — to women like Buseyna.

Buseyna was forced to flee her home in Adıyaman, Türkiye, after the city was decimated.

Heavily pregnant, she traveled over 50 miles before stumbling upon a UNFPA women and girl’s safe space where the trained staff helped Buseyna safely give birth to her baby girl. After recovering, UNFPA provided Buseyna with a mama kit filled with supplies to care for her newborn in the midst of the evolving emergency.

“You reached us, helped with the birth and gave me a bag with everything we needed,” Buseyna said, expressing gratitude toward supporters like you.

By making a donation today, you can DOUBLE your impact and deliver lifesaving care to mothers like Buseyna.

Donate a 2x-matched gift to support lifesaving maternal health services this Mother’s Day — in Syria, Türkiye, and across the world.
Thank you for fighting for women and girls with us. Together, we can deliver relief where it's needed most.
