What an amazing weekend marking the Coronation of King Charles III - the very best of our history, traditions and culture bringing the country together.

A huge thank you to all of those local volunteers who made each and every event across our community possible, from street parties to fetes to picnics.

I hope that you had a great long weekend however you were celebrating (despite the showers!).

** Vote For Your Pub of the Year 2023!
------------------------------------------------------------

🗳️🍻 Vote for your Pub of the Year 2023! I’m searching for the best pub in the constituency (from Chippenham, Melksham, Corsham, Bradford on Avon and the villages) and want YOU to have your say!

🥂We have so many fantastic local pubs and this is all about celebrating how important they are, encouraging people to support them, and sharing some of our favourite hidden local gems! Pubs are the backbone of our community, supporting our local economy and bringing our towns and villages together, so I am always keen to support them however I can.

📣 There will be two rounds of voting - the first includes all pubs in the constituency and is now OPEN for you to have your say until Monday 22 May.

🏅The 1️⃣0️⃣ pubs with the highest number of votes will go through to a second round of voting which will open in a couple of weeks time - look out for the link on my Facebook page!

🏆 The winning pub will be announced on National Beer Day, which is taking place on Thursday 15 June!

📣 I will then be inviting a Cabinet Minister to come and visit the winner to present them with their trophy, which is an exciting opportunity for the winning landlord to talk about why their pub is so special and how important it is to the community.

👍 Get voting for your favourite local pub and do share with anyone from the constituency who would like to vote.


** Coronation Art Competition
------------------------------------------------------------

If you have been inspired over the weekend, I am running a competition to find the best artwork that captures the essence of the Coronation!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 There are three categories, one for children up to 13, one for 13-18 year olds and one for adults aged 18 and over. To enter, simply create a piece of art inspired by the coronation, whether it's a painting, drawing, photograph, etc.

✉️ Post or drop off your artwork to my shop in Chippenham by May 31st with your age, name and contact details - you must live within the Chippenham constituency to qualify.

🏆 The winners from each category will receive certificates and their creative art will be displayed on a table at Number 10 Downing Street for a week! This is a unique opportunity to showcase your talent and celebrate this historic moment.
