One more update before the Advisory Committee votes at 1:30pm EST.

• What's happening: The main FDA concern seems to be questioning if people getting birth control over-the-counter can follow the instructions better than if a doctor prescribed it.
     
• Why that's absurd: We know that many doctors don't explain how to take birth contorl pills any better than a label, and some existing studies actually show folks receiving birth control via a prescription are worse at following the instructions than those in the over-the-counter study.

Don't worry - people on social media were on it! Share some of the pushback this morning before the vote!

Garnet Henderson sums up how ridiculous it is to assume doctors are giving better instructions than over-the-counter labels. In this thread you should retweet, she goes on to say, "I, in fact, have personally experienced serious side effects from birth control pills and had to self-diagnose because my doctors didn’t care."
