For far too long the media and political parties have led us to believe we only have two choices: Republican or Democrat. The parties have demanded blind loyalty to the party line to maintain power. The norm is to expect representatives to vote down the party line and even demonize them when they don’t. We can change that with a Brand New Congress.
Those in power have created a system designed to undermine primaries, subvert voting and empower an oligarchy.
We need leaders who will stand up to the party when the party is wrong and fight for the right thing because it is the right thing to do.
In 2020, we have a choice. We can continue to support blind party loyalists, or we can elect people who will do the right thing.
We can elect people who sell out to the highest bidder, or we can elect people who can’t be bought.
We can elect regular working people to represent our communities and stand up to the powerful -- if we have the courage to fight alongside them.
