Hi Friend,

We said you’d have the chance to do some good this legislative session and one of those times is right now!

If you recall, last year, after Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court, and many other states began restricting or outlawing abortion, Governor Steve Sisolak issued an executive order to protect providers and out-of-state patients visiting Nevada to obtain an abortion. Now, Senate Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro has a bill to codify those protections into law: Senate Bill 131! Our friends with Planned Parenthood developed a great toolkit that includes talking points, sample social media posts, and more! Feel free to use this toolkit to show your support for SB131!

Help make a difference by contacting your legislator today!

The Assembly Commerce & Labor Committee will discuss SB131 TODAY, May 10th, at 1:30pm. Here are some ways you can help:

  • Fill out this form to send a message to the committee in support.
  • Create a free NELIS Account & submit a comment in support of SB131 on the legislative website!
  • Testify at the hearing in Carson City! The Assembly Commerce & Labor Committee will meet Wednesday, May 10th at 1:30pm in Room 4100 of the Legislative Building, at 401 S. Carson St., Carson City, NV.
  • Testify in Las Vegas, at the same date and time, in Room 4401 of the Grant Sawyer State Office Building, at 555 E. Washington Ave., Las Vegas, NV.
  • Testify via phone, by dialing (888) 475-4499 on the date and time of the hearing! Use meeting ID 83603018848 and then press # and when prompted for a Participant ID, press #.
  • Email your written testimony 24 hours prior to the hearing to the Committee Manager at [email protected].
  • Click-to-tweet at the #NVleg asking them to support SB131!

This is a critical opportunity to stand up for abortion access! We can’t do it alone, so find out how you can participate and take action to protect providers and patients!
