Wayne Ducheneaux II<[link removed]>.
Wayne is the Executive Director of Native Governance Center, and a powerful partner for Native leaders building power in their communities and reservations.
In his story, Wayne shares how he got to know Headwaters as a grantee, how he’s woven lessons learned from the Giving Project into his work at Native Governance Center, and how Headwaters’ community-based philanthropy has inspired him to boldly expect more from other funders.

We're witnessing new growth at Headwaters. Bilal Alkatout has been named Interim Executive Director for the coming year. We've made new hires to strengthen team capacity. And we have a healthy financial base to continue our work of funding grassroots movement organizations in our region that are doing crucial work to advance equity and justice.
Headwaters was established to change the way philanthropy works by putting community at the center. Next year we’ll celebrate our 40th Anniversary. Today, we continue to explore building new ways of being together in this world. And with your support, the groups we fund are leading the way.

Double Dutch is a three-month limited series of informal and intimate collaborative sharings between program creator Vie Boheme and a different guest performer each month.
