A successful Britain needs a strong London. Our capital
should be the greatest city in the world. But Sadiq Khan has treated
Londoners with utter contempt and damaged our city.
ULEZ and Low Traffic Neighbourhoods are a tax on the
poorest. A war on motorists. Local people didn’t want them. But Khan
just swept them aside.
ULEZ will cost London’s economy £500 million every year.
Thousands of shops and businesses are closing. Millions already
crushed by inflation will be hit with an extra £3,000 annual driving
bill. This is an attack on ordinary people doing a decent day's work.
It’s a massive abuse of power. It’s a blatant money grab. And you can
bet it won’t apply to Khan’s convoy of luxury SUVs.
If Khan gets his way, every major city in the country
will follow. Manchester, Bristol, Bath, Sheffield and more. They all
want similar charging zones and these crazy 15 minute cities.
Khan’s disastrous record doesn’t stop there. In 2016 he
promised Londoners 116,0000 affordable homes. But after 7 years he’s
built less than half of these. Meanwhile, 60,000 London households
live in temporary accommodation, including 76,000 children. With
rental costs going through the roof, it is another body blow for the
poorest.
But Khan has betrayed London’s youth more than any other
group. The knife crime epidemic has cost hundreds of young lives in
London since he became Mayor. Some victims were as young as 14.
Thousands have been wounded in the gang violence. Hundreds of
thousands are too scared to leave their homes as the ‘postcode wars’
rage.
The capital’s women have also been betrayed as levels of
sexual assault break records too. London has now become so dangerous
it rivals New York as a crime capital.
Londoners deserve so much better. Howard Cox is a
tireless campaigner. He has been standing up for millions of ordinary
people / drivers for nearly 15 years. He will put London first.
The election is next May. It will be our biggest chance
yet to shock the Westminster establishment. To let people know they
have a real choice. The campaign starts now and we need your
help.
It’s time to take back control and save our great
capital city. People deserve affordable homes. Thriving communities.
Safe streets. And the freedom to use their cars. A successful Britain
needs a strong London. Scrap ULEZ. Cut crime. Ditch Khan.
